Consisting of a left half known as Drew Ceccato (winds) and right half that answers to Chris Golinski (percussion), Brains plays improvised music meant to stir aggressive thought and produce anything but indifferent emotional responses. Their music comes in waves of energetic output that cohesively guide a daring listener through a multitude of different sonic spacescapes. Encompassing influences from both modern improvisational music to throw-back 70’s free-jazz, these two musical astronauts have a lot to say. Brains is good, Brains is bad, Brains is something we all have. Look for their self-titled debut album, coming out on FYO Records in March 2010. www.myspace.com/brainsmusic
